Thank you for considering us for your donation!

Here’s what to expect when you donate:

When you arrive with your donations, please follow our signs and markers to the donation drop-off spot.

We kindly ask that you patiently wait for your turn to drop off items and be mindful of your surroundings. An employee will be available with a blue bin to help you unload your donation(s) as needed and provide a donation receipt. Please be sure to leave your donation with an employee and do not leave donations outside of our door unattended. Our donation hours reflect our store hours.

Your donations help us fund vital mission programs that provide job training and job opportunities for people facing barriers to employment. In addition, a donation to Goodwill of Central Iowa keeps more out of local landfills, making our community a better place to live, work and play.

What We’re Looking For

• Clothing: all sizes, styles, and types. (Clothing not suitable for resale can be sold as salvage material.
• Computers and computer equipment (working and non-working). To learn more about our computer recycling program, click here.
• Housewares: dishes & glassware, radios, fans, lamps
• Furniture: in good condition and without heavy stains (see exceptions listed below).
• Toys: stuffed animals, dolls
• Books, CDs, cassettes, commercially produced videos
• Accessories: shoes, belts, scarves, jewelry
• Auction items: specialty items can be found through our online auction, Shopgoodwill.com

Please Donate Responsibly. Goodwill regrets that we must decline certain items due to applicable laws and restrictions or processing costs.
